Norway May oil output fell 10 pct to 2.8 mln bpd
OSLO, June 12 (Reuters) - Norway pumped an average 2.8 million barrels per day (bpd) of crude oil in May, a drop of almost 10 percent compared with 3.0 million bpd in April, a Reuters poll of oil operators showed.
Maintenance accounted for drops in output at the Statfjord A and Gullfaks A and B platforms and the Snorre, Vigdis, Yme and Draugen oilfields.

The total excludes 162,532 bpd of condensate output from the North Sea Sleipner developments.

Most other fields had lower production, which appeared to bolster the government's claims that it had implemented a three percent cut in output at selected fields from May 1.

Norway announced the output cut in March in line with efforts by other OPEC and non-OPEC producers under the Riyadh Pact to reduce supply to the glutted market and support prices.

Since then some producers have announced additional reductions, but have so far failed to halt a slide in prices. Norway so far has rejected calls to plug production further.

If the rest of OPEC was like these guys, Oil would be flying.

I nibbled a little today, taking about 10% of my normal position. Grabbed FGII and think the price is great, but.......no way to tell if this is simply a dead cat bounce or a real turn.

Good luck, but still feeling very cautious....
