Option traders deserting Etrade Hi, Robert: Perhaps you are unaware that many option traders are said to be deserting Etrade for the following reasons. Etrade does not provide an order-entry mechanism for spread trading in options, or stock with the underlying options; Etrade's margin requirements for options writing are too onerous; and E*trade uncompetitve policy of not allowing naked call options writing in this very uncertain market environement.
