Looks like an outstanding opportunity to refinance 30-year mortgages with current interest rates at close to 8% is coming between now and the end of 1998.

Lower Interest rates during the rest of 1998 could justify higher stock market P/E's, however lower reported profits could partly, completely, or more than offset the benefit of such lower rates. So the big question is how will what you describe impact reported profits during the rest of 1998 and into 1999 ?
