Did you hear on the news about the moron from England that was looking for tickets to the England versus Tunisia World Cup match? He was offering a free night with his wife in exchange for 2 tickets

Well... the crazy part is that the second ticket was for the mistress.......he, he, he, he, he.

That will learn you of the crazies that abound the Soccer Universe, nearly as crazy as taht of the SI universe.

Well, may be NOT THAT BAD.

Not that I would be interested in such offer, but it is believable remember in other countries women are mere servants of men's needs.

As for soccer, it is a craze. The biggest collection of morons...

Just take a look at Henry's post re: comments by players and trainers of the world of soccer, he posted a link here, and in the World Cup thread

In Brazil it is said that in 1950 when the WC was held there, in the "cathedral of futebol" (Portuguese for soccer), "Maracan " (the name of the stadium), some people commited suicide after Brazil lost the final to Uruguay who defeated the Brazilians 2 x 1. This is NOT a confirmed story however.

The stadium which was built specially for the tournament can hold 222,000 people..... all raving mad.

Futebol, in Brazil is a near religion, as the head trainer, if you win the cup you become a national hero.... for life (so long so you do not commit the UNTHINKABLE feat of loosing it the next time around, every 4 years)

In all seriousness, so far this year Cup is turning out to be incredibly good, the initial matches (usually dull and with few goals) have turned out to be great games, the best so far has been Chile 2 x 2 Italy.

anyway, thanks for the news.... another moron story to relate....
