All, a couple of thoughts/questions re the CC:

Based on the CC, it sounds like NSM will not be releasing a new CPU, the MXi, until about Q1/Q2 CY99 which is potentially almost a year from now. If so, this is a real scary proposition, especially because there will be nothing new for the Xmas season and the competition is not standing still. Anybody think that speed improvements for the MII and GXm will be enough?

Anyone else get the feeling that some/most of the analysts were more interested in NSM's outlook on the PC market in general than NSM specifics? Maybe that's why there were no questions re 3D-Now, Cayenne, improved FPU, etc.

FWIW, Halla sounded a lot more upbeat than the last couple of CCs; however, seeing as how they expect to lose money the next two Qs, I think the news about the design wins and fab ramp were more bad news for INTC and AMD rather than real good news for NSM. One big question mark is, how good/fast is the 0.25 um process?

Hoping for some more good news at PC Expo.

Anthony
