HMMM, why would anyone want to perform a more expensive procedure when the results are the same. Another clue: Because it's better for the friggin' patient. Do you think insurance companies will pay for non-invasive bilirubin checks on newborns with every mother in America insisting on it,even if it's MORE expensive? Even you can figure this one out.
