The good news is we got 8 or so more days like this in us max. <<<ggg>>> I agree, this looks like a classic buying opportunity. As the sage said, "Be greedy when others are fearful, fearful when others are greedy. " Regards, Dave

This is an interesting analysis of the last two announcements.

messages.yahoo.com@m2.yahoo.com

I sold half of what I bought last week for a slight loss. I'm looking to see what the bottom will be. If we have a big announcement, I benefit. If the price slide to 7, I'll buy some more.

Best Regards,

Bil

VOCLF crash notwithstanding, LU/VOCLF deal seems to be symbiotic and not parasitic. In other words, IP telephony 'system' = Server(LU) + gateway (VOCLF/ECI) + software (VOCLF or LU) (corrections appreciated)(see below)

''The PacketStar IP Switch is truly a revolutionary switch,'' O'Shea said. ''For the first time,
one system combines the superior bandwidth and speed to help break through Internet data
bottlenecks with intelligent traffic management capabilities to guarantee multiple tiers of
service.''

''These capabilities are critical to delivering large-scale telephony and fax services over IP
networks, data and video over IP and virtual private networks. For the next-generation
applications that customers demand, the carrier-class PacketStar IP Switch is essential,'' said
Carly Fiorina, president of Lucent's Global Service Provider Business.
