Steve,

The answer is (c). Since COMS isn't making new heights people have just lost interest in it. How many people even know that 3COM exists, let alone how their technology or marketplace work.

I guess that's one answer, though it's hard to imagine
anybody in the world who doesn't know 3COM exists.<gg>

So, you're answer is basically that the stock is temporarily
out of favor. I guess I'm surprised that there aren't more
"vultures" wanting to pick it up at low prices...like you
said, people must be insane if they're waiting for lower
prices.

Here's some numbers about our 'first bump with the bottom':
(I added a day before and after the high volumes days)

DATE HIGH LOW CLOSE VOLUME

5/29/98 27.688 25.25 25.375 6169900
6/1/98 25.75 23.25 24 10126900
6/2/98 24.375 22.938 24 10638500
6/3/98 26.25 24.5 25 10618500
6/4/98 26.9375 25.4375 26.5625 5615100

Here's today:

Yes, it looks like the numbers are consistent with a
bottom. I guess what I'm worried about is more bad news
from ASIA that sends the market lower.

Well Joe: I'm right.. trust me <G>

On one condition. That you've never been wrong
in the market<gg> (hope you don't mind the
questions - this market has made all of
us look like fools at one time or another...I'm
working on minimizing these times<g>)
