Yeah the current top of the line Intel chip is only slightly behind the 21164 which is way behind the 21264.. real convincing.

the FPU trails largely due to the need to remain compatable with the x86 FPU standard.

Doesn't that still make it slower. And with a specFP95 of 50 and 500Mhz, the 21264 is MILES (in fact years) ahead of Intel.
