I am struck by the fact that we have entered a new economic paradigm that seems to be driven by sound bites. Its uncanny how the highlighted news of the day conveniently plays to today's stock movement needs as defined by the bollinger bands. At the bottom of the band you will generally find enough good news reverse the movement. This works for me except the irrational exuberance component has forced me into more-and-more shorts to hedge my longs. I would much prefer to buy value. Gold and oil are screaming deflation. At some point cash will be able to purchase a lot of value.
