R. - All the specialist have to do to bring the dollars back into stocks and stock funds is....raise the prices! It is just that simple.

They want to make some money from the players on the way. That is what they are doing during these consolidations, pause to refresh, what ever the talking heads want to call it.

The general public is being conditioned to accept the downward swings in the markets. Eventually they will get more and more dramatic. However, they will each bounce back or seem to bounce back. The general public will be conditioned, they will hold on to long.

Once again, there will be a major transfer of wealth from the hands that don't know to the hands that do! Ever wonder how the markets move with such unity, like a school of fish. It can not be because all the investors decide to buy and sell at the same time.

If one thinks there is unity among the "outsider" investors, just read the post at SI.
