Bill I have a business proposition for you . You have the contacts (I think) to do this.. and although I've been fighting with you Bill, I know that you love making money too.. so here is my proposal. And I truly would be interested in what you think about it (and is it legal) Many of us long btim holders have taken our stock out of loanabale accounts,. which means it will be much harder for the shorts to get their hands on the stock. The current scenario is not perfect for the short sellers.. the ideal company to short is one who has a large float..(BTIM does not) so they can get their hands on borrowable shares.. here.. the number of shorts is very high (still over 2 million) the float is very small, and we've removed a lot of our shares..Maybe we can somehow put pressure on the shorts and create the short squeeze. We (the longs) could buy some of this stock at these really low prices (but not just a few shares..) we would have to make a huge dent on the market, so the shorts would really have to cover. I don't know how much money any of us have..so here is a suggestion. This is a PERFECT opportunity to make some money bigtime. If we could get a hedge fund (and they've probably already cashed out their short position) and have them start buying big time. them look at the figures... (float, current price of stock, number being shorted, number of shares available to borrow) and let them see this as the golden opportunity it really is.You should LOVE this scenario!! There isn't that much more you can make shorting btim.. it's 6 bucks now.. it isn't like it is $25 dollars.. but think about the upside.. get a fund to come in and buy a million shares at $6.00 and wow... the ride back up would be as swift and exciting as it was the first time around.Plus, think of your legacy. You could right two times.. once on the demise of the stock, and the second time on the rise of the stock. The funds drove the price up the first go around (creating great demand) made a fortune driving the price back down (creating doubt) and now you can drive it back up with more speed and more money than the first go around, because there are over 2 million shorts who can not get their hands on the stock that easily to cover, and will have to pay huge premiums to cover. Bill, this is truly a great opportunity here...
