I've also heard it said that if you see activity in the POG during August its a sign of a very strong move up. I don't know how true that is - never bothered to research.

I don't know anyone can say "traditionaly" with gold as there is the bull / bear cycle to consider. What I was looking at this morning was '82. you may want to check out these numbers
