Pakman 2000: Not to muddy the waters of the discussion, but is it conceivable that CPQ would continue to diversfy in search of more dynamic revenue streams by acquiring a networker - such as a BAY, FORE, ASCEND etc One would think that Tandem and GEC will take time to digest but if the consolidation among networkers and telcoms does pick up speed then CPQ - if it is to move in this direction - might have to make a move before it was truly ready.
