Thebeach, I hope you are right. I have a big bet going on ASND being 65 by the end of July. If it goes to 70, it will be nirvana for me ...

I've only been in this stock since December. You are saying that Ascend has a stronger product line now then when the stock was in the 60's last year.

Under the link "Optical Networking In The Future" on about page 4 there is a quote from Steven Blumenthal, vice president and general manager of GTE Internetworking:

"Today we're deploying SONET multiplexers and also DWDM technology from Nortel. Going forward, we're hoping to be able to avoid some of that SONET muxing technology and to be able to have the routers plug directly into the optical layer." (Maybe some future sales for the Ascend GX 550)
