>>>" I'm thinking that given the existing penetration of the Internet as PNL's supporting infrastructure and the 'nets continued rapid spread -- it will take much less time than the spread of CAD...It's a totally different world than the one into which PNL is trying to operate. The supporting technology is now widely spread, accepted, understood, and considered standard industry practice....As it is, the demand, skills, and supporting infrastructure are in place and growing. PNL just needs to get its service up-to-speed."<<<<< jwk, you make some excellent points. In my message to bjoseph, I referred to CAD, but I also referred to a lot of newer uses of software and Internet technology that have occurred more recently. All of this more recent technology and use of this recent technology was made possible by the computer literacy and friendliness that proceeded it. So as you noted the evolution, to a certain degree, already has occurred and has now made the possibility for change more rapid , exponential , revolutionary because people have already been conditioned to realize the potentials of the Internet, and other new technologies. As you also noted, PNL just has to get its services "up-to-speed" to take advantage of how people have been conditioned to embrace new Internet e-commerce services. In addition to your insights, I'll add that PNL is effectively positioned to take advantage of the primary and interrelated ways in which the Internet is changing business and the way we live. These ways are as follows: 1). Internet is a reference tool providing greater and immediate access to information. 2). Internet as time saver to retrieve information, services, goods to allow time for leisure or greater productivity 3). Internet is expanding abilities to communicate with anyone, anywhere and at anytime. PNL uses databases, services, and communications develop by its partners and puts them together to take full advantage of the Internet on its website so all these services can be accessed from one place to save time to conduct and expand business. PNL's founders and partners had the vision to anticipate these developments and now is putting into place all the components to demonstrate to the detractors that their visions weren't just fanciful dreams. As these components are put in place i.e. "up-to-speed", the markets will also recognize the timeliness of PNL's endeavors, and share holders will be rewarded. Also remember that many of the "detractors" have achieved their status and wealth by thinking and doing things the way "things" have always been done. The more tactile of these stone throwers will adapt. Those that can't adapt may linger on longer, but these individuals and the organizations they represent will see their positions of authority undermined unless they too make new alliances to take advantage of the Internet . So, to a certain degree that is what the Internet, software, and technology, in general, is about ...restructuring authority through providing communication and access to information by replacing older technologies with newer ones. What is so fascinating about right now is the speed of change and the degree and amount of innovation. Change happens faster than even governments can regulate it. As a simple query, does anyone own any shares in telecommunication companies? So, in conclusion, PNL is part of a larger "revolution" instigated by hardware and software development that has made the Internet such a powerful tool for change. The most exciting and amazing part is that we are now only at the start of this new era of Internet commerce and communication and therefore we have yet to determine which companies in this "hot" sector will live up to their valuations. IMO even at $8 a share (which represented over a 500% gain for me), I didn't sell PNL because at that price the company is no where worth what it is potentially worth, especially since PNL is well positioned and designed to take full advantage of this Internet "revolution" in communication and commerce cited above, ztect . .
