Colin,

you want to buy @ 35.5
low: 35 3/8
bid: 35 9/16
ask: 35 1/2

I assume if I place a limit order at a given price and it hits that price I will be filled. When I'm away from my computer and I receive a page telling me my bid alert has been triggered @ 35 9/16, I will assume I am about to be filled. If I get a 2nd page and it says ASK 35 1/2 I will assume I am filled and can call for confirmation and quotes. What do I set my low alert at? $35? When does it matter? Being at a remote location I assume I will receive one alert once triggered until it is reset. Maybe you want it at 35 if you want to call and buy more at that price.

High: 37 Perhaps you want to sell, then you call and place the order, sounds easy enough.

My concern is getting my alerts setup correctly as to have an idea of the days price movement and have time to place/change orders. I could easily set the ASK @ 35 1/2 and call for confirmation when the page is received. I'm not going to try and daytrade remotely but it will happen. It appears to take about 20 secs. to get an alert. I just want give myself time to react to the situation if need be.

When I'm home trading I do watch T&S and check confirmation when I see my trades go through. I also use Tradewind charting, very useful. I hope in a few months I'm not carrying a laptop along with me as well.<g>
