Rude, let's agree to disagree on this "ASPs have been declining at a steady rate" issue. The decline has clearly accelerated and will continue to do so until PCs become as commodity as TVs. A couple of years ago I didn't believe it would happen, now it's going that way real fast. As a matter of fact Intel used to have increasing ASPs and now that trend is reversing too. As for my questions/remarks about IDC, glad to see you found it humorous. Sometimes I think V is the only one who has learned how to read my posts. I agree that IDC is better at this than Gartner, but they are all pretty damn lousy when it comes to estimating the future.
