Hey Paquet... I changed my profile (even though your's is a blank) just so that you know exactly where I am and how far away I'm hiding...BTW, where are you hiding??? My location will self destruct in 24 hours from the time of this posting... Hope u make it of that pool in time or is the chlorine giving you a rush... John, I persoannly believe that ED is at least 15 people on SI. I often thought he was ED, Chief{Cheif}, John L, Martin Dee, Feline, Vaugh, Macros, Au Contraire, Hedger, 1king, Jimsy, Winer, donkeyman, Mr Metals, & John Paquet. And this morning I looked in the mirror, and realized I was developing a larger nose, and more hair. So I assume that I too am becoming an ED. And I refer you to this post: techstocks.com I believe that, that is where the metamorphosis had begun. The more I think about it the more I realize, I'M ED. {But I have no kids} A real index on the SVB would be hard to make. Finding out who has a control block, or control position in the companies is to hard to figure out. Let allone using a real time update of the index. But you could base one on just the closing price, and outstanding shares. SVBI := (Price1OS1)+(... ---------------------- (Bprice1Bos1)+(.... Price = close Bprice = Base Price OS = outstanding shares Bos = base Outstanding shares
