Laurens, I can only tell you my favorites among those I follow, but I don't know whether they're the best to be in (and beware, I'm biased) and many posters in this thread know more about the pharmas than I do. Throw this question to the thread and do a "focus group"! My favorites: 1. Pfizer 2. Merck (Astra's buy-out of Meck's share in Astra Merck and Merck's 5 billion dollar stock buyback program.) 3. BMY (reasonable valuation, should do some catching up with the rest of the pharmas in next 2 years) 4. WLA 5. AHP/MTC (MTC had a no. of new drugs in pipeline, including Celebra) I don't own all five, but if in the future I have some money to invest, I'll put in some in one of the pharmas in 2 - 5 as diversification within the group itself. I also like JNJ (not a pure pharmaceutical company). Most of them have their own thread on SI. Regards. Anthony

Symbol, Company, Rank, EPS Grth Next Yr, EPS Grth Next 5 Yr, Mean Recomm. WLA, Warner-Lambert, 1, 29.10, 22.50, Mod Buy PFE, Pfizer Inc, 2, 22.40, 19.20, Mod Buy LLY, Eli Lilly, 3, 18.30, 16.20, Hold SGP, Schering-Plough, 4, 16.40, 15.20, Mod Buy MRK, Merck & Co., 5, 15.70, 14.30, Mod Buy JNJ, Johnson & Johnson, 6, 13.40, 13.50, Mod Buy AHP, American Home Products, 7, 11.20, 13.20, Mod Buy BMY, Bristol-Myers Squibb, 8, 13.80, 13.60, Mod Buy ABT, Abbott Laboratories, 9, 12.10, 12.40, Hold ZEN, Zeneca Group PLC, 10, 18.90, 13.80, Hold I have PFE & MRK; maybe I should think about adding in some WLA. BTW MS Investor is a nice tool. I subscribe because of it's 'finder' feature, nightly market recap emailed to me, and alerts if I want them. Price is very competitive (9.95/mo) Laura
