re Protein question:

Starting with 1000 lbs waste there is 150 lbs solids (dry weight).

of this 150 lbs 10% is protein this is 15lbs (dry weight).

After fermentation of 20 to 30 hours we have 15% left of the original 1000 lbs which is 150 lbs.

of this 150 lbs 35% is protein this is 52.5 lbs(dry weight).

So there has been a large improvement in the protein amount.

This has come about by the bacteria changing the carbohydrates and fibre into bacteria. These bacteria are largely protein.

The figures on content must be done on dry weight, else how could you measure it. The final pellets would contain water, but all the quantitative analysis is done by dry weight.
