Thanks for the post! The very big question looming in my head for a long time now is:

- will the Y2k panic selling tear down the Y2k stocks;

- or will there be a panic (hedge) buying of Y2k stocks beforehand; before the final Y2k induced market crash (well below 7000 IMO)?

I still tend to think the latter; but we must be prepared for the former.
