Ok, so the $299 computer is on its way. Here's my prediction:

In one year, every one of those computers will be obsolete and will not be able to run any software that comes out within the next year.

You get what you pay for. When Windows 95 came out, almost all PCs became obsolete overnight. When Windows 99 comes out, the same thing will happen. And all those people that thought they were saving money by buying a $299 PC will have to spend $1000 more to get a computer that works.

Those that ignore history's mistakes are destined to repeat them.
