Holland - Belgium:0-0

What a disapointing game. I guess we can't complain from the first two games. But you could see this coming. Belgium was hell bent to get a tie. Even after playing with a man advantage they were hell bent to get a tie. I think the winner of Mexico-Belgium game goes on. Kleivert looked horrible but he was very tightly marked all the time. What a boneheaded decision to elbow the Belgian player (he deserved an Oscar for his performance after the elbow). Maybe it will be good for Holland not to have him around, he looked out of place and slow. Seidorff was also ineffective. I was impressed by the number 14 Obermars, always on the attack and always dangerous. The Dutch defense looked solid but then again where was the threat? The Mexicans would find it very hard to score on the Belgians. The group could come down to which team does not beat S. Korea (highly unlikely) or how many goals they score on them. I liked Bufin from the Belgian side a lot. I don't think Belgium won too many fans today. But they got what they wanted and that's what counts in the first round. Maybe we have been spoiled too much.

Also, it was disapointing to see the worst game probably being the first one televised on ABC. When did Musburger learn about soccer?? And the play by play analysts and studio people are awful (except Seamus and Ty who are just okay). The camera angles and replays were just terrible (did you notice that they tried to replay the first chance Holland had and missed it all three times?)

Holland should beat Mexico...they are the "little mice" afterall<GGGG>

Don't get me wrong z, I want Mexico over Belgium.

Hope all three games are good. Today we had 1 AWESOME 1 great 1 bad game.

George
