Ed,

Read post 9368, 9384, and 9385.

I think the numbers calculated in 9368 are valid and already show a turning of the tide. I agree with you that the Viagra fall out recovery will take some time. I may be overly optimistic but I can easily see 14,000+ by the end of July.

What do you think will happen if Pfizer soon makes a release advising men on high blood pressure medications not to take Viagra? As the TUNA predicts, it will remove about 75% of the organic ED pool from Viagra use. I think that this will happen sooner than later since there is a huge liability issue hanging over Pfizer's head. Pfizer can make plenty of money on the rest of the ED pool including the psychogenics, and those merely desiring erectile enhancement (which I believe has accounted for over 1/2 their sales).
Continued deaths from men with cardiovascular disease along with those on high blood pressure meds may eventually result in the FDA pulling Viagra altogether. That risk would be greatly reduced if Pfizer feses up to potential dangers of mixing Viagra with high blood pressure meds. Pfizer can either be greedy and stupid at the risk of losing all potential Viagra sales or they can be smart and conservative and cut their liabilities on the high blood pressure pool of Viagra users.
