I think the President prefers things with young bodies and nice bangs...

INTC and MSFT are more the result of an overzealous judicial and some heavily biased congress people with money losing software companies in their states than a "communist" president.

Tobacco deserves everything they get.

Facts are facts. The index funds are numerous and the S&P is a standard. As money comes in funds it goes to index stocks and creates a consistent influx of share purchases.

I agree with this. My point was that if, instead of money flowing into index funds, there are net withdrawals, then the fund managers would have to sell stocks to satisfy redemptions. This would obviously have negative price impact on the companies in the index. Now, that said, I don't see this happening. People just continue to "mindlessly" (smartly) plow money into this type of fund through 401Ks and regular monthly purchases, IMO.
