facai, you really should try the wire service. There is no charge, and the funds are deposited directly to your account the next day, if you request early in the day (I requested after 4 PM one Tuesday, didn't get deposited until Thursday). At my bank they require 5 days to clear an out of state check, and it's 2 days in the mail to receive the check from Datek, so even though Datek was prompt, requesting a check by mail was hanging funds up in limbo for a week or so. Oh, not to mention it means I don't have to actually take the check to the bank. Barb
