Mudcat, I was referring to the Yahoo poster who has now adopted a "hit and run" approach. He useses one of his many handles to throw out a negative comment on LGND or me (or put up a positive VICL post:
messages.yahoo.com@m2.yahoo.com
), and then disappears (handle is listed as "not found" by Yahoo).
Yesterday, it looks like someone grabbed the go_lgnd handle and put up an apology:
messages.yahoo.com@m2.yahoo.com
I expect the nay sayer to return with a new handle (or one of the current abandoned ones such as hnirnam:
messages.yahoo.com@m2.yahoo.com
HenryNFox:
messages.yahoo.com@m2.yahoo.com
iamtonyt:
messages.yahoo.com@m2.yahoo.com
F_LGND:
messages.yahoo.com@m2.yahoo.com
go_lgnda:
messages.yahoo.com@m2.yahoo.com
go__lgnd, or I_am_tonyt:
messages.yahoo.com@m2.yahoo.com
).

I didn't think that any poster who used a handle similar to the one used here (other than iamtonyt, I_am_tonyt, or hnirnan) was the infamous nay sayer on Yahoo. The "hit and run" poster has put up denials, but they lack credibility (and for go_lgnd they now appear to lack an original identity).

>Henry; I'm not sure what your post means

He's trying to link all the 'naysayers' on yahoo to all the 'naysayers' on SI (apparently bluejeens has also been deputized as a 'cyberslueth in training').

I guess there can only be three people in the world who post critical comments about LGND.

Looks like the OFF TOPIC posts and links by henry about YAHOO are back.

Does anyone have any idea why this is relevant on SI?

Perhaps if henry spent less time on yahoo and more time on trying to understand why LGND has dropped below $13 we could all benefit.

BTW, I see that henry stopped linking my 'summer predictions' for LGND now that it is proving to be accurate. Maybe I'll try to look up that link myself.

Mudact, It looks like our famous nay sayer managed to hold onto his go__lgnd handle on Yahoo. He re-activated it this morning so similar posts are showing up there and here this morning. What a coincidence.

As you know, I don't think that ALL naysayers are the same posters. However, the poster on Yahoo! that "can't be found" under 9 different handles and the poster from AT&T on MIS who uses about a dozen different handles to post under the LGND threads all sound remarkably similar. They know nothing about LGND's management, products, technology, or pipeline.

Today was a good example. Rick mentioned dilution, so that was a good target and management options were cited as one of LGND's PROBLEMS. I'm fairly certain that those options are to buy LGND in the $9 to $12 range (so they are not all that attractive at LGND's current price) and they certainly don't contribute greatly to LGND's increase in outstanding shares.

The dilution came principally from the GLYC, ALRT, and SRGN acquisitions as well as the equity positions of major partners like LLY (recently) and others previously (PFE, GLX, AGN, ABT, AHP, SBH, Sankyo).

Things were too quiet here, so it looks like henry is trying to stir up trouble again with his OFF TOPIC posts about yahoo. Lets hope he doesn't trash this thread like he has with the yahoo thread. I wouldn't mind if there was a point to this nonsense, but there isn't. If henry wants to fight with this 'go_lgnd' character, he should keep it on yahoo, and leave SI out of it. If anyone on SI is interested, they can easily find yahoo (there have been quite a few links here to yahoo).

Mudact, Actually, I think that the integrity of posters on SI is of interest. Most posters use handles, but most readers expect some accuracy and honesty in posts.

There is one poster on MIS who has posted on LGND, using about a dozen handles. He insists that he is not our most famous nay sayer, but MIS is a searchable data base:
x12.dejanews.com
and its easy to see that there have only been two posters on the LGND thread with AT&T accounts, tonyt:
x2.dejanews.com@worldnet.att.net)%20%26%20%7eg%20(misc.invest.stocks)&svcclass=dnserver&ST=QS
and me.

I have only used my name, but someone else continues to try to change his handle and domain, but since the account is from AT&T (domain is worldnet.att.net), it always registers as an AT&T account on the thread and the first pseudoname actually is signed --Tony:
x3.dejanews.com

As similar situation arose on Yahoo, with a series of handles that Yahoo cannot find. This series of posts sounds remarkably like the poster with the AT&T account on MIS (he knows nothing about LGND, used to like AMLN:
x2.dejanews.com
, and currently likes VICL:
x2.dejanews.com
).

I think that such information is of use when readers try to get an idea about just who is posting what (on SI, MIS, or Yahoo)
