Jawd, you wrote (Ask DHL how many Amazon orders they are shipping worldwide.

I'm a day trader, but if I wanted a long term investment I'd go with Amazon and Yahoo. They are the Microsoft's of the future.
Shorting Amazon for more than a few minutes is madness.)

I like to get all the info I can get from you bulls because you seem to be doing better than us bears. Actually I just consider myself to be an Amzn skeptic
Anyway getting back to your above post.
N01. Ask DHL, have you? I don't think Amzn is currently shipping all over the world. They really have just got into Europe, so I still think it's too early to make that call. Believe it or not, there's already competion. I don't think they are shipping to Asia as, the last time I checked, the Asians are busy exporting not importing.
N02. Anyone that compares Amzn to MicroSoft is smoking something that would be bad for their mind.
Would you compare Costco, Macy's,Barnes&Noble (Oh, I bought 3 books from them today and it was just, an easy thing to do), Sears CDnow, Ktel, Auto.com, or any other retailer, Internet or not to MSFT??
Now Yhoo thats a different discussion.
If you had something to sell, and wanted an Internet co to advertise it for you, would you go to Aol, Yhoo, etc, etc or would you pay to have America's hyped,' soon to be the worlds largest seller of low margin commodities' do it for you?.
The reason that anyone should never, compare an Amzn to a Msft is, that most real success stories, like Msft, go from a business to reality to growth and finally to value.
Msft gives me something that only a few can give (actually, the justice dept is concerned that they are the only one).
Amazon.com? No, today I went to B&N, tomorrow, maybe back to Amzn. Who really gives a shit where I shop, for low margin commodity products?
Oh, I'm sorry, what would a day trader want to even know, what the future will look like?
The reason you should not take my post negative is , your suggestion not to short amzn right now is, smart, very smart.
This is just my HOP, of course.

One item I hadn't noticed before - their auditor is Ernst & Young. They always seem to
be the auditor in many flaky companies , particularly those involved in stock scams and
promotional deals.

I noticed this also. There is also a paragraph that is very unusual that I will locate today that gives the Bezo's family a way to sell insider stock to benefit a trust that benefits the family. It never looks like Bezos is selling doing it this way. It is clearly an attempt to hide the sales. I will locate it and post it here. I suppose I am criticle but feel there could be an ethics problem with insiders here. Could be is the operative word;-)
