Buying WEN makes no sense. I don't see MO getting into the restaurant business. PEP is at least an interesting speculation, but I don't see it happening for a variety of reasons. If MO temporarily suspended increasing its dividend and buying back shares until the punitive legislation is resolved one way or another, why should they make a major acquisition at this point in time? In short: Neither of these Rumors make any sense and are far from dealing with the Reality of the predicament MO finds itself in today.
