Steve, I would recommend reading through some of Roy's old posts. He has first hand knowledge of the pricing structure in the industry and has given estimates on price per port of hubs vs. switches and also the price per port that would attract high volume resellers (<$1,000/port). All other factors being equal (e.g. technical merit), I think it is really hard to say about competitiveness on a cost basis unless you are involved in negotiating the deal. With the margin on this gear, I could see taking a hit in the short term to get somebody's business and there is probably enough in the margin to do that. George D.
