Actually, it was Sammie who typed those. Give her credit. It isn't easy typing with paws!
She had to go back and forth and erase, erase She was very patient so I daren't tell her it didn't come out perfect.

My personal thoughts,

With all of these very supportive posts here on this thread the last day or so, I've been thinking about why we do this.

I started posting to this thread in October and at that time Ben was about the only one here to greet me. I wasn't sure what would be the forum, but in my mind I wanted to teach and to help people better their investments. I told Tom I had embarked on this journey and he not being a techie (except for Clorox :-)), didn't think it more than a way to pass the time. However, after a few posts that I emailed to him, he became an SI junkie vicariously through me! The reason was, it was happening. People were coming to learn. They asked questions and we built a following. Because of this Tom was more than happy to put in his time to help people. Now he is here himself and that is a great credit to this thread.

Here we are today. We have some solid P&Fers who have learned this methodology from this thread and through DWA. Their investment decisions have improved and the sale of antacids, I'm sure, have gone down considerably. We have lurkers who have reconsidered their positions and have covered during trying times. We have found wonderful teachers to continue the teaching process. I'd say all in all we have done good and by all, I do mean ALL of us. Not just one person has created this but the group has. I doubt people would tune in just to hear one person speak.

For those of you who have taken this seriously and have been here day after day helping those just learning, you are the most unique and best of people. You deserve the recognition. Tom, Preston and Bruce.

For those of you who tune in to glean from our conversations we are pleased as pickly pumpkins you are here and you know you are welcome to join in and ask questions at any time.

I know it is scary when you aren't sure what is going on but I would love for you to feel comfortable posting here. I don't think there is a single person on this thread that would utter even in the softest of tones, "that was a stupid question..". ASK, ASK, ASK!

Believe me, I remember when I was first learning and I took a look at Toms report. Practically broke into tears - "I'm never going to get this!" Well, a year and some months later here I am. I owe it all to a great teacher and I hope this thread can be a great teacher to you all.

My very best to everyone,

Jan I am
