Raymond, that was the best technical analysis I have seen of anyone I have encountered on Silicon...Your point about the Darvas box not being applicable here is a good one, since as you state the bulls are winning the battle with the pullback recently only progressing to the 50 day...The Darvas box argument does not hold water and the ascending triangle is the viable pattern...I have to run to the funeral home, but will analyze and comment further...Regards, Mark

Hot damn! Some fresh clues for where to push my TA. My education had been slowing, but your indicator repertoire has inspired me. Thanks. Who's Ian? I superimpose an 8 day ADX over 8 day ADXR, looking for dips below 20 and rises from that level. Crossovers are also good for signalling short term pops, 'tho by crossover, the price has usually moved; you actually want to get excited when the gap begins to converge. Had the 8 day ADX bottom @ ~15 Wednesday, with a sharp reaction to ~21 by Friday. Looks good. Another day will tell more. BTW, have been watchung TAVA too. Waiting to see how things stand when the volatility (b-bands) finally cinches up a little. Good to see someone else checked your profile over on the H_IE thread :-)
