L3; Actually the world market in general is not doing bad at all, I track all the WEBS as a measure, it's ASIA that's getting creamed, and even with them down the average gain to all the webs totaled since DEC 10th is 6.18% , that's counting some big loses in ASIA. ---------------- In the same time frame While our market is up 13.85% ..we are by no means the leader. Italy is +39.08% France is +35.55% Belgiun +35.07% Spain +34.73% Germany +33.33% Swiss +22.01% Austria +22.23% Sweden +20.72% Nhrlnd +22.53% We do beat the UK it's only up 10.59% and Canada only up 4.63% But there are a lot +s in world indexes, many of them beating us by a large margin. So as much as the market looks high to me, I'm not ready to panic yet. If the interest rates go up past 6% ( really 5.75% now )..I'll be worried, or if crude oil pops up real fast. ------------------- Man we are going to have a hot summer, at least down south, ACs will be maxed out, the Electric Utilities should get a pop. Yesterday was the first day in my life that I can remember , smelling raw heat. I never knew it could have such a smell, I went out side and it smelled like an oven cooking..I guess the foliage and grass and such were baking so much it put off a strong odor. We haven't had any rain in so long that I also expect serious water shortages in our area by mid summer. Jim
