Rules For P&F Portfolio Contest We will be running this contest on the P&F Research thread as well, so as not to loose the entries. Go to Message 4858602 1.) You must pick 5 stocks, to go long. No shorts, puts, calls, etc. 2.) You must evaluate each one of the 5 stocks picked on a P&F basis. Entries will not be accepted without a Point and Figure evaluation. The answers do NOT have to be perfect or even correct, but you must make an attempt! We are doing this so you learn! 3.)You have in your PNF account 100,000 funny money dollars. Each of the 5 stocks must be bought with equal portions of 100,000 or 20,0000 each. 4.) All picks must be stocks. No mutual funds, etc.. Cash will be cash no interest earned. 5.) The Contest will run from June 22 open until July 24 close. 6.) Your stocks will be purchased based on the closing price for June 19th. 7.) Your entry into the contest must be in by June 19th Midnight Eastern Standard Time, thus you must have posted the thread by that time. 8.) When you post the thread to ENTER, the first three words must be, "My Stock Picks", this will help us find all of the entries and not lose anyone. 9.) You may SELL one or more of the stocks before the end of the contest to lock in profits. In order to do so, you must post the thread with the first word being "SELL" and then the ticker. -If you decide to SELL, you will be selling the entire position. - The sell price will then be calculated by looking at the posted time and looking at what the stock was trading for in the previous 5 minutes. We will give you the highest value traded during that 5 minute period. 10.) Please DO wait until Friday June 19th to make your picks official for your maximum advantage, as you can only make one OFFICiAL PICK and you will not be allowed to change any PICKS once you have entered. Treat these picks like the real thing. You cannot call you broker two days after buying XYZ to say "Ha I change my mind" 11.) The WINNER will be the one who's portfolio has the highest total return for the period. Everyone will be cashed OUT on the CLOSE Friday July 24th. All picks will be posted in the P&F Research thread, and we will try to give a weekly update including status and placing. We will keep the portfolios anonymous. If you would like to send us your picks via private message you may to either Jan or Preston. When we post the portfolios we will number them. A private message will be sent to you confirming your portfolio number. The winners portfolio will be displayed, name and all at the end of the contest. Oh, we will on the first posting of the portfolios, also supply the reasonings behind the picks, again this will be anonymous. This is to be a fun learning experience so everyone start looking for you choices in the wonderful world of Stocks. As you know, the market is in a down trend so finding good buys right now is difficult, but it can be done. Remember, a fine bottle of wine awaits the winner!
