z, ------------------ "The Yugos, showed a very "dry" game, however they never gave up, constantly attacked" ------------------ Dry is an understatement. IMHO they had given up psychologically, the goal a gift by the goalie and the sun hitting him, "revived" this team. ------------------- "The Iranians seemed to me a little inexperienced, and a tad too "dirty" in their fouls... I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, this time, but there was a play, with the Yugo player on the ground, the Iranian defender, kind of went by and oops! "I just stepped in your face".... "involuntary on purpose" type of stuff.... I could not see it clear, and one never knows, with all the "acting that goes on" maybe nothing happened, however there was another Yugo player who saw the whole thing and he was protesting to the referee who discounted the event, after checking with the fallen player." ------------------- The only inexperience they showed was their finishing touch. Dirty? I do not think so at all. Played hard yes but not dirty. The Yugos are masters of deception and dives. Remember they all play for rich European clubs and just know how to "fall" down. The Yugo player who saw the "incident" you were refering to is Mihatovic who plays for Real. I have seen them play before, a master in manipulating the referees. I believe he saw the Kluivert red card and he was trying to pull off the same thing. Of course the Jamaican linesman did not indicate anything and the very good Peruvian referee finally came by and told the "fallen" Player to end the comedy. Yugoslavia is a team ripe to go home after the 2nd round. We obviously disagree here. Nothing wrong with that of course. Am I just too emotional about Iran? Any other opinions guys? George
