Barbara:
To me a mistake is when an investor panics after reading a sell
recommendation from Asensio and either sells or is forced to sell his position due to margin calls........and sees that the market reaction to Asensio's sell recommendation does not hold up over a reasonable time and sees the stock they formally owned and would have held trading higher than where they sold.
A mistake also is indicted if market perception returns the stock under attack to original or higher value.

Case in point ... in Sept of 96 Asensio issued a sell on BVF at about 30.The chart shows the stock tanked to about 20.
However in February of 97 BVF was trading at 47. So investors who were panicked into selling paid a heavy price. Now you could say it was a win for Asensio because he caused the price to go down. However after the chips fell the stock bounced back nicely.
This was indeed a horror story for those holding
the stock at the time of the SELL.

As time goes on and I become more familiar with the past I will hold and add to my position in CCSI if it remains on SALE.
