No GCC state against cutting oil output - delegate
RIYADH, June 16 (Reuters) - None of the oil ministers attending a Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) meeting in Riyadh on Tuesday are against cutting their oil production to restore prices, an Omani delegate attending the talks said.
''No delegation is against a cut in production...The ministers are serious to treat the current situation,'' Oman's ambassador to Saudi Arabia Saeed bin Ali al-Kalbany told reporters.

Oil ministers from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Oman held their talks in Riyadh against a background of oil prices which have fallen to their lowest point in real terms for 25 years.

The GCC meeting is expected to lay the ground for further production cuts when ministers from the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries meet on June 24 in Vienna.

The official Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) in a report from Saudi Arabia said that GCC ministers were not expected to announce oil production cuts following the Riyadh talks.

KUNA said an announcement of cuts would be made at the OPEC meeting.
