Larry and all, " Western Digital and IBM Sign Definitive Agreement for Hard Disk Drive Component Supply and Technology, Design Licensing"

Sunday June 14, 12:00 pm Eastern Time
Company Press Release
SOURCE: Western Digital

biz.yahoo.com

Excerpt:
Under the agreement, IBM will supply Western Digital with its leading areal-density giant magnetoresistive (GMR) heads, as well as other electronic components which include IBM embedded firmware. Western Digital will use IBM technology and components -- and in some cases, IBM HDD designs -- in its family of WD Caviar desktop drives, simultaneous with IBM's deployment of these technologies and
components.

Larry,
<<RE:>GM - not so humble.<
GM, you have my vote for man of the hour. Finally, this thread has found someone who is willing to stand behind his opinions.>>

He still doesn't have permission to buy Readrite, though <VBG>.

<<I'm not as smart or nimble as Yogi. >>

Cow flops! I have had an extraordinary streak of studied luck on market timing decisions. I have made some buys with expectations of a given return in 12-24 months and seen those returns in 1-3 months and ,occasionally, even faster. That is nothing more than a lucky break.
I am sure The Great Market Gods will punish me with a similar unlucky streak sometime in the future.
