Hi Dick, thanks for confirming that. You're right, no SPX volume. My !SPX price data only goes back to 4/1/98 (April fools joke, I bet :o)). Not sure how I would update this, or for that matter, how many others only have partial data. I don't suppose they have a utility that can be run to check the integrity of the database????

Might be nice if each symbols's data record had a CRC in the header that the program updates with each nights download. Then either the program could check the CRC only as you use a symbol's data, or a utility could be run on the entire database and reports CRC failures so you know which symbols to reload, rather than the entire database in hopes the next try will come out right. Wouldn't increase the file size by a significant amount. Might save a lot of calls to customer service.
