ahh rocky
why are you comparing iomega with AMC
the better comparison would be this company

This company brought out a product that they wanted to be computer standard

This companies had many other companies competing for same market.

This company Marketing savvy , easy to use product and the fundemental understanding of estabishing a standard

This company just when it almost achieved goal. Suddenly had to compete against the biggest computer company in the world. The one who created the standard! This competing company was going to put out a new product and take the market from this company!

i am talking about Microsoft

IBM 0S/2 and Sony HiDisk are very very similar
and both are failures for same reason.
1.they are late to market
2.competing computer manufactorers are not going to embrace standard created by competitor
