You see, I still have fears of the underside of elementary school desks. All those air raid drills, the sirens, the crowding together in the shelters ... affected me for life. So much so that we had to move away from the small town that still tests the air raid siren on Saturdays at noon. Of course, they all say it's a test of the Volunteer Fire Department's warning siren. But I know better. It's them ... they're still out there. According to my shrink, those Cold War activities never affected me. Affected me. Affected me. TED
