The July New York light sweet crude closed at $12.59. Not the time for
FSESX.

Thanks for your response. I agree with Julius that FSESX is a snake pit now and has been for some time, and I wouldn't want to bet on it furturewise either.

On your other positions: Home Finance is still probably a good long term hold in recognition of how well it's done in the last 10 yrs. if your time frame is long long. However, I moved out of this one on my return as I don't like it's trend line now.

As far as Fidelity's so called Utility growth fund is concerned, it too is a disappointment and has been for some time with me mostly because the fund has little weightings in electric or power utilities but concentrates heavily on Telephone. There are other fund families that call their electric utility group funds a Utility fund and mean it. These funds act accordingly in down markets. Fidelity's takes a big hit if you notice. I buy FSTCX if I want telecommunications exposure. I'm holding on (rip) to Health Care also.
This market is highly volatile now and the sector funds will react accordingly.

Good luck.

Forgot to mention that you're right on about the trade costs of $14.95 if you're a frequent trader - at least 36 times a year but at market price. Stop or limit orders cost more per trade in their system I found out in hind sight not reading the fine print as usual.
