Bosco,
Goodmorning.....

My understanding of Indonesia is subjective and gained from friends
who have traveled to the country. So I probably know as much as you do.
My friends have found the society very divided economically and socially,
as is much of Asia. Those lucky enough to be educated have done very well.
Suharto's rule with USA's support produced a remarkable period of
emergance that proved the people's abilities. However the country has
been mostly a captured work camp for the elite families.

Hopefully their future will be more democratic and free. Even under a
benevolent military leadership the transition can be made peacefully.
I believe many of the officers have been educated and trained in the US.
Lets hope the country these people have built can avoid tumbling
back into the chaos of the 60's and break up into fractions.

Indonesia should be one of the 1st markets to rebound if a smooth
transition can implimented.
My Best
Chip
