Do you use reported earnings, or earnings from operations? Baseline Financial Services reports last twelve months' earnings of +$2.31 for Novellus, while E*Trade reports -$2.74. I suspect that the former is operating earnings and the latter reported earnings, the difference being any one-time charges that were taken.

Lane,
SMIF has dramatic particle/yield control benefits, it will likely
be used in all future fab designs since it acts as a barrier to
the human interface and makes for easier automation. Asyst (ASYT)
is a leader, there is also a German/European version but I can't think of the company that manufactures it. I expect SMIF to become the
defacto standard of all 300mm+ fabs since automation will be key to
handling the larger wafers.
