Ingram Micro opens European Frameworks facility in Holland.

See below news article for details. They also announced last week, that they are buying the German distributor Macrotron from Tech Data. Three more Frameworks to be opened in S. America, Canada and Asia. Each one capable of producing 2 million computers a year. Memphis plant is run by a couple of ex-Dell guys.

SANTA ANA, Calif., June 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Ingram Micro, Inc., the world's leading wholesale
distributor of technology products and services, today announced the completion of its transaction to
acquire the assembly facilities of Tulip Computer N.V. in 's-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands.

An agreement in principle between Ingram Micro and Koninklijke Begemann Group N.V. regarding
the transaction was announced on May 19, 1998. The acquisition was contingent upon the successful
purchase of Tulip by The Begemann Group, required approvals and other conditions.

The nine-month old state-of-the art plant is fully operational, with staff and equipment in place. The
Netherlands facilities provide the strategic hub for Ingram Micro's pan-European integration center.
This opening represents the second of five planned global integration centers supporting the company's
Frameworks(TM) Total Integration Services initiative for channel assembly. The first integration center
opened on March 11, 1998 in Memphis, Tenn.
