Actually I have sort of an opinion on that... I don't think they should have allowed themselves to get dragged into the arms race.. I think the US won that one by a whisker, and only because they had a better credit rating....On the other hand I agree, trading one hegemony for another is folly...The Indians have thoughts on this as well. Both systems were/are aiming for generally the same thing and both are wrong...Our air and water are becoming rapidly worse, our sun is now dangerous. russell
