lml, re: the freeze you describe: It's my understanding that the main advantage of 4.05 vs. other 4.0x versions is improved java implementation. You might want to give it a shot, or the 4.05 standalone browser. In my case, it didn't help and I still cross my fingers hitting a site using java. To be fair, however, the description of your system is radically different from mine, and you may have a better experience. Give it a try. -MrB
