Here in Northern CA I see many new Asian businesses moving in, proudly sporting signs in Korean, Chinese and Japanese. Most of California never really recovered from the end of the Cold War, much of the state has remained in close to double-digit unemployment.....it's possible that the influx of Asian businesses and the low interest rates creates sustainable economic growth for CA that was unforeseen.
