Noir c'est noir?...why a contrarian posture makes sense sometimes.. It is good to remind one self of the prisoner's dilemma. Two guilty suspects are being interrogated by the police in separate rooms. They are asked to collaborate with the police and finger the other guy for a reduced sentence. If they both refuse to cooperate they will each get 1 yr in prison. If one cooperates while the other does not then the cooperating guy will walk while the other will get 5 years. Finally if they both cooperate they will each get 3 years. What to do? Victor
